Hi there, I’m Betsy. I believe that while pain and loss are inescapable facets of the human experience, we can integrate them into the rest of our lives when we connect to another. My guiding assumption as a therapist is that you have an inner healing intelligence inside of you and it’s our collaborative work to cultivate your access to it by gently examining that which no longer serves you to reclaim your whole self. You are neurobiologically wired to heal. In tending to core wounds within a safe relationship, we facilitate an environment for negative beliefs and patterns to be transformed.

In our work together, I’ll draw from trauma-informed, attachment-oriented, somatic, and mindfulness therapeutic approaches to bring awareness to your lived experience and foster change. I enjoy working with adults experiencing developmental and complex trauma, religious harm and deconstruction, end of life, and grief and loss.

I received a Master’s degree in Human Development Counseling from Vanderbilt University, a Master’s degree in Theological Studies from Boston University, and have training in Brainspotting, Hypnotherapy, Somatic Attachment and Regulation, and Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy. My therapeutic style is deeply relational with emphasis on collaboration and curiosity.

In my leisure time, I love adventuring with my partner and his son, teaching and taking group exercise, reading, being in nature, and most breakfast foods.
