Cara Allison, M.S.
Associate Counselor (she/her/hers) cara.allison@newmoonrisingwellness.com 615-997-0733 Full Session Fee: $150 *accepting new clients* I believe that we are capable of healing and growth when we are given space to be seen, heard, and fully accepted. I hope that through our work together, you will find the freedom to live your life bravely and embrace who you are. A question that guides my approach to therapy is: “How do your past experiences, trauma, and heartache impact your life today?” The answer to that question is an invitation to heal past wounds and find more peace in the present. My areas of focus include clients who struggle with disordered eating, poor body image, trauma, depression, anxiety, relationship distress, faith transitions, and meaning-making in later life. I work with children (10+), adolescents, young adults, older adults, and the LGBTQIA+ population. I believe that connecting with our bodies is a vital part of mental wellness and healing and have pursued extensive training in EMDR and Brainspotting to further facilitate trauma recovery. I also love inviting clients to utilize art and creativity in their healing journeys and work from an Intuitive Eating and Health At Every Size lens. I value the uniqueness of each individual and am grateful for the opportunity to work with people of all backgrounds, beliefs, and sexual and gender identities. I have a sweet puppy named Frankie who I love taking to the dog park… you can find us there at least once a day! |
