Graduate Level Interns
Fee Range: $60-$80 (Sliding Scale Availability)
It is a core value of New Moon Rising Wellness to offer excellent mental health care at an accessible price point for all Tennesseans. We recognize that there are many barriers to accessing quality mental health care and understand that cost is a huge reason why many people are unable to receive care. We have partnered with our region's top universities to place student-interns at our site. These interns come highly recommended by their faculty members and are aligned with the vision and values of New Moon Rising Wellness.
Think of it as seeing a Resident at your physician's office. These students bring a fresh perspective to an often outdated field and are closely supervised by both highly skilled clinicians at NMRW and their academic faculty from their university. Essentially, you have a team of at least 3 therapists working to provide you with the most up to date, evidence-based practices at a price point that is accessible for you. You are also providing an opportunity for a student to grow into their role as a therapist as they complete their Master's programs.
During a time when the mental health care system seems to be nearing its capacity, we strongly believe in supporting Master's level interns, because in just a few years, they will be leaders in our field.
