“You yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection.” — Buddha
Hi, lovely humans! My name is Andrea, though I also go by Andi. I am a master’s-level counseling intern passionate about creating a warm, affirming, and inclusive space where you can show up as your authentic self.
My approach is grounded in evidence-based practices, with a strong foundation in humanistic and person-centered therapy. I also incorporate CBT, DBT, and Narrative Therapy skills into my work, tailoring them to each client’s individual needs and goals. I am also trained in Autistic-affirming Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and enjoy supporting individuals navigating OCD and anxiety.
I enjoy working with teens and young adults, particularly BIPOC and LGBTQIA2S+ individuals, who may be exploring their identities or navigating life’s challenges. I also work with individuals experiencing anxiety and depression, OCD, relationship concerns, life transitions, stress, burnout, and challenges with self-esteem and emotional regulation.
I believe that understanding your story can help create meaningful change. Together, we can explore patterns that may no longer be serving you, better understand your thoughts and emotions, build new skills, and work toward writing the next chapter of your life in a way that feels authentic and meaningful to you.
As someone who values creativity and self-expression, I enjoy incorporating expressive arts and creative techniques when helpful. My goal is to create a compassionate, nonjudgmental, grounded, and eclectic space where you can feel safe being fully yourself.
Outside of the counseling office, you can usually find me crocheting, reading, listening to music, or watching movies and shows. Art in all its forms is a huge passion of mine. Fun fact: one of my all-time favorite movies is Spirited Away!
Wherever you are in your journey, you deserve a space where you feel seen, heard, and accepted. I look forward to meeting you and supporting you along the way.
