There’s a unique kind of transformation that happens in relationship when someone really sees you without judgment and helps you make sense of what you’re feeling in the moment. Together in sessions, I want to create a therapeutic relationship where you feel seen for your inherent value and strength and where you feel comfortable being yourself while we hold the weight of life’s challenges.

Some areas of focus in my work are pre-teens, teens, and adults navigating life transitions, trauma, grief, identity and faith exploration, relationship issues, perfectionism, ADHD & neurodivergence, and LGBTQ+ experiences. Another overall focus I strive to acknowledge with the populations I see is that mental health doesn’t exist in a vacuum. Systemic and political factors can deeply shape our sense of safety, our connection to basic life institutions, and our well-being.

My approach to therapy is relational and experiential, meaning we focus on what’s happening right here and now in your body, your emotions, and even in our connection during session. A lot of my work is rooted in Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), which centers on building a safe, healing relationship where emotional processing can happen at your pace. You might hear me gently invite you to “stay with” a feeling that’s coming up. The reason for that is that when emotions are felt and held in the context of a safe relationship, our neuroplastic brains have new opportunities to integrate those experiences into a greater sense of emotional safety and congruence.

I also draw from Internal Family Systems (IFS), which helps us explore the different “parts” within you, like the anxious part, the perfectionistic part, or the part that wants to shut down. Through this, we can learn how each one is trying to protect you in its own way. Getting to know these parts can bring more self-compassion and help us to make peace with parts we previously felt annoyed or repulsed by.

From Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), I integrate mindfulness and values-based tools to help you evaluate your life choices and move toward what truly matters to you.

Outside the therapy room, you can usually find me supporting the local indie music scene with my husband, experimenting (sometimes unsuccessfully) with new recipes, curating Pinterest mood boards, journaling, or listening to a goofy feel-good podcast.

If you have any questions at all, feel free to reach out. We can schedule a consultation call or go straight for scheduling an appointment.
