Join this live virtual workshop (Continuing Education Credit Available: 2 NBCC credit hours) to learn how to incorporate somatics into your counseling practice. This learning environment will consist of lecture and experiential exercises.

Upon Completion, participants will be able to:

  1. Define and understand Polyvagal Theory and Attachment Theory

  2. Demonstrate increased clinical attunement and awareness of how own attachment styles impact therapeutic rapport

  3. Utilize somatic interventions in conjunction with their existing therapeutic modalities to improve client outcomes

Meet the Instructor

Megan Thomas (she/her), MA, LPC-MHSP, SEP, is a therapist who believes strongly in healing via a mind-body connection. She is a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP), trained in Somatic Experiencing (SE) and is also certified in Somatic Attachment Therapy. She knows that navigating our clients’ bodies gently towards neutrality, safety and comfort helps folks gain more capacity to process the hardest moments in their lives.
