Join this interactive workshop to learn how to learn the intersections of nervous system regulation and eating disorder behaviors. This learning environment will consist of lecture and experiential exercises.

Upon Completion, participants will be able to:

  1. Describe a basic understanding of the Polyvagal Theory, including characteristics of each of the 3 primary nervous system states + the 5 “F’s” of stress/trauma response

  2. Identify how eating disorder (ED) behaviors function as misguided attempts for self-regulation, perpetuating nervous system dysregulation and the use of ED behaviors

  3. Utilize 3 practical, somatic interventions in conjunction with "top-down" therapeutic modalities to improve client outcomes
